  • Ethan says “inversely parallel” and Michael lets him get away with it

  • But to be fair, Michael called the Ring of Power a Mcguffin

  • Ethan (mistakenly) cites Pavel’s The Lives of the Novel but then paraphrases Schmidt’s The Novel: A Biography. Both are worth reading.
